Digital Apprenticeship Development Coach - Telecoms / Unified Comms

Location: Remote Working Nationwide

We are GK Apprenticeships, a training provider that delivers award-winning apprenticeship programmes. We work with key partners and businesses to create training programmes that give apprentices the experience and knowledge they need to succeed.

We're looking for Digital Apprenticeship Development Coaches to join us to deliver apprenticeships across the Telecoms and Unified Comms sectors. Apprenticeships you might be delivering would include:

- Level 2 Telecoms Field Operative
- Level 3 Unified Comms Technician
- Level 3 Information Communication Technician
- Level 3 Digital Communication Technician
- Level 4 Unified Comms Trouble Shooter

You may have previously worked as a Telecoms Engineer, or Unified Comms Engineer.

The Role

As a Digital Apprenticeship Development Coach, you will help apprentices to complete Telecoms or Unified Comms apprenticeships and take that vital first step towards an exciting career.

Supporting learners based throughout England, you will encourage them to fulfil their potential and meet the requirements of their qualification. While COVID-19 restrictions are in place, you will provide support remotely. Once it’s safe to do so, you will visit apprentices in person (occasional overnight stays may be required)

Specifically, you will:

- Make sure that learner action plans and review processes are completed to a high standard.
- Build rapport with learners and identify how to support them to perform at their best.
- Support quality assurance procedures to ensure we continue to deliver the best service possible.


About You

To be considered as a Digital Apprenticeship Development Coach, you will need:

- Experience and expertise in Telecoms and/or Unified Comms
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Great communication skills and a strong customer focus
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle that is taxed and insured for business use

Development Coach - Digital Apprenticeships - IT

Location: Remote Working Nationwide

We are GK Apprenticeships, a training provider that delivers award-winning apprenticeship programmes. We work with key partners and businesses to create training programmes that give apprentices the experience and knowledge they need to succeed.

We're looking for Development Coaches to join us to deliver apprenticeships across several of our current programs. If you have knowledge and background in either software testing or IT, we would love to hear from you.

Apprenticeships which you might be delivering may include:

- Level 3 Infrastructure Technician
- Level 3 IT Solutions Technician (Hardware / Software)
- Level 4 Software Tester
- Level 4 Data Analyst

The Role

As a Digital Apprenticeships Development Coach, you will help apprentices to complete various digital apprenticeships and take that vital first step towards an exciting career.

The Role

As an IT Technical Sales Development Coach, you will help apprentices to complete various steps towards their exciting career.

Supporting learners based throughout England, you will encourage them to fulfil their potential and meet the requirements of their qualification. While COVID-19 restrictions are in place, you will provide support remotely and once it’s safe to do so, you’ll visit apprentices in person (occasional overnight stays may be required).

Specifically, you will:

- Build rapport with learners and identify how to support them to perform at their best

Apprenticeship and Internal Recruiter

Location: Remote Working Nationwide

We are GK Apprenticeships, a training provider that delivers award-winning apprenticeship programmes. We work with key partners and businesses to create training programmes that give apprentices the experience and knowledge they need to succeed.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Apprenticeship and Internal Recruiter to join us on a permanent, full-time basis working from home.

The Role

As an Apprenticeship and Internal Recruiter, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standard of recruitment on behalf of our clients as well as supporting GKA with all internal recruitment activity.

Working within our Apprenticeships Business Development Team, you will build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and act as the initial point of contact for all recruitment activities both internally and externally.

You will also be responsible for generating a pipeline of opportunities with prospective employers using the candidate pool available and by the successful management of relationships with key stakeholders, referral partners and regional organisations.

Your apprenticeship will also involve:

- Own client relationship and process for recruitment activity and manage expectations
- Interview candidates by video call/telephone to determine their eligibility and suitability
for an apprenticeship opportunity/vacancy
- Prepare applicants for employment with high-quality CVs, interview techniques etc.
- Provide updates internally for forecasting and resourcing purposes
- Host events during key times such as National Apprenticeship Week and Results Day
- Attend careers events at schools and job fairs to promote apprenticeships
- Sending course joining instruction emails to learners


About You

To be considered as a Development Coach, you will need:

- Experience of working in the recruitment industry
- A proven track record of managing candidate talent pools and placing candidates
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Proficiency in IT
- To be a proven team player and a strong self-motivator with a can-do attitude

An understanding of apprenticeships is desirable for this role, however this is by no means essential as full training will be given.

Internal Quality Assurer – Digital Apprenticeship

Location: Remote Working Nationwide

We are GK Apprenticeships (GKA), a training provider that delivers award-winning apprenticeship programmes. We work with key partners and businesses to create training programmes that give apprentices the experience and knowledge they need to succeed.

We're looking for an Internal Quality Assurer to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As an Internal Quality Assurer, you will assure the quality of GKA’s apprenticeship provision to ensure the experience of the learner and employer is of the highest possible standard.

Continuously improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, you will perform regular observations of teaching, learning and assessment across all areas of the apprenticeship

You will assist the team in developing a programme of standardisation activities to train, guide, mentor and support Development Coaches in shared best practice.

Your apprenticeship will also involve:

- Maintain sampling plans in line with company and awarding organisations requirements
- Sample and monitor the work of Development Coaches according to the centre strategy
- Maintain the audit process to ensure compliance in meeting funding requirements
- Support Quality Improvement measures across all areas of the organisation


About You

- Experience in the internal verification of Apprenticeship Standards
- Vocational competence in a range of Digital, IT and telecoms sectors
- Assessment and quality assurance qualifications (A1, CAVA, V1, TAQA or equivalent)
- A teaching qualification at L4 or above (e.g. PGCE, DTLLs or equivalent)
- Meticulous attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A commitment to continuous professional development

Experience and knowledge of Ofsted/ESFA related activities (such as self-assessments and quality improvement plans) would be desirable for this role, as would an understanding of apprenticeship funding and knowledge and experience of using an e-portfolio system.
